Little Decoders

About Little Decoders

Little Decoders is a focused reading resource for families and educators who want kindergarten worksheet ideas that support early decoding skills. The site is intentionally narrow: phonics, CVC words, Elkonin boxes, word mapping, decodable sentences, phonemic awareness, homeschool reading, and reading intervention.

Our articles are Science of Reading-inspired, which means they emphasize explicit sound work, careful sound-spelling connections, practice with decodable patterns, and simple routines that adults can use with young readers. The site does not promise a curriculum, diagnosis, or one perfect sequence.

Little Decoders does not publish fake downloads or claim that printable files exist when they do not. The goal is to give parents, teachers, homeschool families, and tutors substantial, original worksheet ideas that can be adapted to real children and real classrooms.

The site is also designed to stay simple. You will not find a login wall, marketplace, comment section, or unrelated worksheet library here. That keeps the reading content easy to scan on a phone, easy to revisit during planning time, and easier to maintain with care.

Article topics are chosen around early decoding needs: hearing sounds, mapping sounds to spellings, reading short-vowel words, practicing decodable sentences, and using short routines at home or in small groups. When Little Decoders grows, it will grow within that reading-first focus.
